The purpose of this website is to celebrate excellence in all its forms in areas that inspire me, bring me joy, contribute to my wisdom's journey and empower the future—locally and globally—for generations to come.
The inspiration behind the name Strategic Vision originated in Texas during the 1980's during my training runs around Lake Grapevine.
I was very fortunate to have worked with some of the best and brightest global leaders at the forefront of the technological revolution transforming industry structures, leveraging big data and optimizing global supply chains. My strength was being able to see opportunities for massive value creation leveraging diverse, seemingly independent capabilities to drive synergies that delivered unparalleled strategic and financial returns that couldn’t be easily replicated by competitors… extending competitive advantage periods, redesigning work and transforming the strategy and governance supporting the sustainable growth of organisations, countries and communities.
The fundamental element that differentiated success from mediocrity was leadership and people… People who embraced a shared value system and purpose… but also people committed to constantly maximizing their potential and continuing to raise the bar regarding their own capability, contribution and growth. My committed life journey to “maximize my potential” and “constantly raising the bar”… while supporting others to do the same… gave birth to Strategic Vision.
In 2016 my niece, Melanie Bruning, was visiting Australia after having finishing her degree in graphic design. I was inspired to collaborate with her to take things to the next level by creating this website and developing a brand logo that represented and embraced my passions in life. A dear friend and colleague, Miranda Van Groningen, Melanie and I sat down at a computer and decided to make it happen.
The creation of the logo was step one. We utilised the initials SVI to create the framework for the further development of the brand logo. We embraced the concepts of celebrating the past… that we all stand on the shoulders of those who have gone before us… while embracing the potential of the future. A potential that can only be realised through commitment, creativity, collaboration and community.
On my 50th birthday my children helped me celebrate by hosting a "Forever Young" party… embracing a concept that I hold dear... "to stay forever young, always have your potential outweigh your experience." My hope is that my personal journey and brand identity embody this aspiration.
The logo is a combination of the letters "SVI" and the connectors that represent what our brand Strategic Vision Investments stands for. (1, 2 & 3)
Below, we have illustrated the independent components that fuse together to create the synergy behind our brand messages. The past enables the present (4) and the present empowers the future (5). The past and the future align in the present linking together inherent capability and our combined aspirations that maximize potential for future generations (6). The logo is completed by two connecting lines that illustrate the synergy that can be derived from the interconnectedness of all things (7 & 8).
This logo and website were designed by my wonderful niece Melanie Bruning. Please reference her work at www.melbruning.com
